Conditions for this special plenary indulgence for oneself or the deceased: make a pilgrimage (it must be a special visit) to any Franciscan church or place of worship dedicated to St. Francis, with participation in Mass and Eucharistic Communion, recitation of the Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father; and sacramental confession in the eight days before or after your pilgrimage. For all plenary indulgences, one must be in a state of grace, with complete detachment from sin (which means a sincere desire to turn away from all sin).
We will be celebrating special pilgrimage Masses for this indulgence on May 30, 2026 and October 4, 2026.
